It’s a trying time at present with news of the outbreak of EHV in the UK, but one which requires an attitude of openness and honesty amongst horse owners and competitors across the country. We have to accept that viruses such as this can strike even the most stringent yards regardless of how strict isolation procedures are. If we can all be as open as possible we can all play a part in getting the outbreak under control. Taking all reasonable and practicable precautions is the least we can do.
