Back home for a fleeting visit, to ride all the horses, between Sheepgate Premier League and Hickstead Premier League. Bo was as usual a gentlemen (if a little keen in the first Grand Prix), finishing 1st on day one and 4th in an unbelievably close run class on day two. A fab show as ever at Sheepgate and could not have been more different to the conditions of last year, four inches of water and mud in 2016 and plus 30 degree heat this year. On a more personal note, I know everyone that’s ever lost a horse (especially those particularly special ones that you just can’t imagine life without), will understand what a hole they leave behind. So from one superstar ginger to another, taken far too soon, these performances are dedicated to the lovely Maria Griffin and DJ. I hope you don’t mind. You were destined to have many more successes together and you both deserved to dance your way through the Grand Prix, so these are yours.
Awesome two days had @dressageathickstead Premier League as always. Slightly disappointed with a lacklustre Grand Prix but big ginge bounced back and smashed out a PB in the Grand Prix Special of 69.44% for 2nd place. #gingersarethebest Lovely to catch up with lots of friends/judges and even took a walk over to the dark side (showjumping). Now straight onto two internationals Hartpury and Hickstead. #flytheflag #unionjack
