This Summer Regionals were a real mixture of personal best performances, personal best scores, good placings and some mild disappointment along the way for many of our clients, friends and ourselves. Some very notable performances from clients resulted in great placings, and oh so near misses on tickets to this Summers National Championships. Fingers crossed for some wild cards.
Our own superstar, Boheme Af Sulsted, had a fantastic run up to the regionals winning six tests from six starts in the preceding weeks, and some great training sessions with Emile Faurie. On the day a few mistakes cost him dearly. A wide range of scores from the judges was a little unexpected though. One judge having us in first place, one in the middle of the pack and one near the bottom! That’s dressage though, and the main reason why we have a number of judges at championship level at different sites around the arena.
Regardless of the end result, this horses talent remains undoubted and he will make his debut at Prix St George this winter season. I think you’ll all agree this beautiful image of him in his Advanced Medium Regionals Test exemplifies this horses beauty and talent.
